The art of Bora Dugic comes from its own primeval source. Romanians have Pan-Zamfir, their panpipes virtuoso. Serbs and particularly people from Sumadija have their own Pan, a flute-player Bora Dugic.
He was born near Djurdjevo and Visevac, close to the town of Kragujevac, the very place where Karadjordje was also born. There are people among us eligible for festivities of this world. Bora Dugic is one of them. The delicate, playful sound of his flute mingles easily with the grand music of the world (Miodrag Azanjac, regular Professor of flute at Belgrade School of Music). Thanks to his exquisite taste and sensibility, and also his sense for phrase and outstanding performing technique, Bora Dugic has been ranked among the greatest folk music artists in the world.
Apart from having released a large number of sound carriers for PGP RTS production, he was honored to take part in the project of recording the first CD in a joint venture between the renowned Philips production and PGP RTS in 1985. He participated in making music for the following films: "The Kosovo Battle", "All the Best about the Deceased", "Impure Blood", "The Rescuer", etc, and TV series: "Destinies of War" (BBC production), "Vuk Karadzic", etc. and he has also composed and released music for stage productions.
