For the first time in Bosnian history a compilation of Sevdalinka, traditional Bosnian love songs, are presented with a line-up of musicians from the Balkan area as well as Germany, the USA, the UK and Japan. In a fresh new approach the Bosnian ballads are fused with jazz, classic, credible pop and ethno music from Bulgaria, Turkey, Macedonia and beyond. Minimal in style, long-served legends of the Balkans like Vlatko Stefanovski, Muammer Ketencoglu, Bodan Arsovski, Miroslav Tadic and Jadranka Stojakovic, make music with the likes of traditional as well as up-and-coming Sevdalinka interpreters from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Internationally acclaimed musicians like Mercan Dede, Dave Pozzi and Theodosii Spassov bring a new breeze into the old traditionals with their trademark sounds and styles.
