At the age of 13 years, HASS KEITA who is originally from Mali, but nationality of the Ivory Coast, has started his musical career in the vocal trio with his younger brother Ousseyne Keita and the famous artist Ismael Isaac. The trio "Ismael Isaac et les Freres Keita" was quickly successful, due to the participation in the album" Africa for Africa "(including with Youssou N'dour, Feu Franco) and the release of the first album" Liberté ". Numerous concerts followed as i.e. the Reggae Sunsplash and a concert of Amnesty International in 1988 which took place in Abidjan.

The albums "Tchilaba" and "Yatiman" confirmed then the international dimension of the band. The Wailers took with them during their stay in Abidjan the title "Children of Africa", with which the band reached the second place of the RFI hit parade.

Unfortunately, the trio broke abruptly after the tragic death of Ousseyne Keita, who died unexpectedly of tuberculosis. A month later Alpha Blondy and Hass Keita gave together a memorial concert for Ousseyne Keita. Deeply by this loss hit and after several concerts in Burkina Faso and Togo, Hass Keita finally settled in Paris, where he filled the head lines in the press continuously by the tragic event that had happened. In Paris, he founded his own music studio, played in numerous halls and shared the stage with numerous artists such as Tiken Jah Fakoly, Alpha Blondy, Komzot. In 1998 he released the CD single (2 titles) "Tilé".

2006 the fans were delighted because finally Hass Keita returned with the long-awaited new album "Djaman" . A master piece - a mix of melancholy rock, blues and reggae whiles keeping a great Mandingue influence. An album with 12 songs - both poetic as combative, personally and universally, with intimate passages, as well as his own gifts to the community.

Hass Keita, who appears on stage a little reticent stands out not only by his higher level of musical talent but also by his gentle, melodic voice that transfers a special deep feeling to all of his audience. An artist with a very indivdual charisma combined with the highest quality of african worldmusic.
