James Lascelles Quartet

A mix of World music, Folk, Jazz, Latin and Anglo-Caribbean grooves, the James Lascelles Quartet comprises 4 highly skilled seasoned professionals who take us on a musical journey around the world and back. James Lascelles (Keyboards, Dulcimer, Melodica & Percussion) is joined by former bandmates from the legendary Breakfast Band, Richard Bailey (Drums & Percussion) and Kuma Harada (Bass & Guitar) and with Tim Herniman (Sax & Violin), adding guest appearances from Bud Beadle (Saxes & Flutes) Mikey Bailey (Bass) and Curtis Ruiz (Bass). The Quartet have honed their skills over the decades working with some of the biggest names in music including: Frank Zappa, Joan Armatrading, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, L Shankar, Ginger Baker, Jeff Beck, Steve Winwood, Incognito, Van Morrison, Billy Ocean, Mick Taylor and Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel. Currently inviting bookings for gigs and festivals worldwide for 2022, James is presently working on his next project James Lascelles' Talking Spirits a taste of which is presented here to Womex21.
