JOSE LUIS MONTON is considered to be one of the best guitarists of his generation which include such luminaries as Rafael Riqueni, Gerardo Nunez and Vicente Amigo. Over the last 20 years Jose has built up a fine reputation as both interepreter and composer. His compositions have won him critical acclaim and he now has four albums of his own compositions as well as numerous guest appearances and collaborations with other artists.
He has performed all over the world with the likes of the award winning Cumbre Flamenca as chief soloist and with the Ballet Nacional de Espana playing the Concierto de Aranjuez set to a ballet. Most recently he has been performing with Belen Maya and Mayte Martin as well as Ara Malikian the virtuoso violin master from Lebanon with who he will be playing with at the Komedia.
