Niri Sadeh is a master of Ney, Middle Eastern reed flute, and of traditional Maqam – the ancient scale system of the Middle East.
The Ney, with its mesmerizing voice, was used in early Egyptian times as the gate opener to other dimensions, and in Asia Minor as the main meditational instrument of the Sufi whirling dervishes. Niri lived and studied in Istanbul and Greece and today he is leading ceremonies through singing and playing the Ney. As a composer, Niri Sadeh brings a new dimension of depth to contemporary compositions.
