On stage the band impresses not only as excellent musicians, the mixture of strong vocals, live electronics, danceable grooves and a sophisticated acoustic performance is extraordinary: the show takes you through intensive feelings, Brazilian images and ecstatic rhythms...
Celia Mara performed during the last 2 years with the bastardista live-project in prestigious clubs and concert halls between London, Vienna, Moscow, Prag and Sofia, at important festivals in Europe & Russia, presented her songs on "fightin' for a better world"-mega open airs in Berlin or on top of "Trio Eletrico's" during carnival in Brazil.
She had the honor to jam with grandmasta Joe Zawinul and to perform at the Vienna Opera House, at Jazzfest Wien. Always carrying a message for peace and social justice in her songs...
And now comes SANTA REBELDIA - the fourth Celia Mara album. To be released in march 2008 - the live tour available from march 2008 - fall 2008.

The bastardistas we are...
Bastardista joined as great artists as Joe Zawinul, Olodum, Think of One, Magou & Dakar Transit, Reggaeman Dionorina, singers Tini Kainrath or Marie Afonso for live sessions.
Cooperations with all different artists were part of the way, remixing, co-producing, arranging by Kid Loco, Frankie Valentine or Vlado Dzihan...
The album bastardista featured Vienna's internationals Christzof Dobrek, Elisabeth Penker, Sigi Finkel, DJ Sweet Susie, Edith Lettner... Part of the band were Geri Schuller, Kris Jefferson and Peter Gabis; later came Dieter Stemmer, DJ Philta, Patrick Zambonin, Harry Tanschek and Endre Hoffmann.
