The remarkable daughter of Martin Carthy and Norma Waterson, Eliza has firmly established herself as one of the leading young performers on the British and international folk stage and more recently with her album ‘Angels and Cigarettes’, released on Warner Brothers, she has developed as a classic singer-songwriter and performer which led to her being nominated for a Mercury Music Prize Award. She works with WATERSON:CARTHY with her more traditional repertoire as well as with her own band the ELIZA CARTHY BAND which brings to the fore her own songs and music.
