"kato apo to dentro (english: under the tree / spanish: de bajo del 'arbol)" started rehearsing and performing since 2008. It is a collaboration between several musicians and friends, based in Athens, Greece, from different styles of music. Members from PALYRRIA,ADIEXODO and DIRECT CONNECTION, have joined forces to explore the fusion of roots music from Greece, Africa and Mediterranean sea with a blues feeling. The music orientation is acoustic sound, based on improvisation. Pentatonic forms and world's soundscapes filtered a little with audio technology within a narrative mood. In their 1st album the Greek writer Kleon Arzoglou is participating narrating parts of his books. Their 2nd album is on the making, and so-far there is a participation (in 2 tracks) of the Greek beatnik writer Panos Koutroumbousis, and (in 1 track) DJ Panko, one of the founders of Ojos de Brujo and Lenacay.
