Érico Moreira presents his new album DENTRO DA MATRIX
The Brazilian musician based in Spain brought together his songs, which mix romanticism and social criticism in an innovative, disruptive album with influences of music from different parts of the world.
“Dentro da Matrix” is the name of the second solo album by brazilian multi-instrumentalist and self-taught musician Érico Moreira in Spain. With love songs and themes that talk about the world and the universe, Èrico gains prominence by making a fine mixture of instruments, rhythms and inspirations.
Érico explains the title of his latest work: “the title of the album comes from one of the songs, released in early 2021 and that synthesizes much of the things I have been discovering about the nature of our reality during almost 10 years of studies and reflections”.
“The themes covered in the album go from spirituality and love to a theme that interests me a lot that is the presence of extraterrestrial life on earth for thousands of years,” he says.
The album has the feats of artists and musicians of different nationality and styles, such as the singer and composer of Guinea-Bissau, Mú M’bana; the Spanish trumpeter Milena Casado, the French trumpeter Raynald Colom, who has played with Mano Chao; the percussionist Zé Luis Nascimento (Brasil), who played with Chico César; and portuguese violinist João Silva.
“Dentro da Matrix”, released on May 27, also has the song “Sin Gravedad”, which Érico recorded with the participation of the Catalan singer Marina Tuset.

A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, son of a musician and artist since the age of 10, Érico Moreira, from Paraty, brings his music from Brazil, which has a tweet of everything with which he identifies, which makes it a form of disruptive, committed and universal expression.
Resident in Barcelona, Érico plays acoustic and electric guitar, bass, maschine and drums with his fingers, but he also plays drums, piano, percussion, sitar and, according to himself, in everything that has sounded. He usually calls his MUSIC MPB, but he has the influence of ijexà, maracatú, funk carioca, samba, jazz, soul, r&b, African music and electronics.
With over 100 album songs, he is about to release his second solo album.
