STREET CHOIR OF POPULAR ARTISTS
Life is a carnival

With more than three decades on stage, Falta y Resto -representing a genre that was born 100 years ago- have performed and toured around the world, created 25 individual shows and released more than 30 albums, hundreds of songs and dozens of videos. They have also poured endless ideas into musical political comedies which illustrate the reality of Uruguay, contributing every year with greater lucidity, humour and commitment.
Some of the best murga performers today have passed through their ranks, and they are synonymous with excellence and a school which produces great artists. Falta y Resto also design and run murga workshops in Uruguay and in Argentina, and are responsible for spreading the enthusiasm for murgas far and wide.
The group has also participated in albums by renowned Uruguayan and Argentine artists such as Jaime Roos, Jorge Lazaroff, José Carbajal, Bersuit Vergarabat and La Vela Puerca.
Currently composed of a choir of excellent soloists with an enviable range of harmonies, Falta y Resto brings to life the lyrics written by its director, Raúl Castro.
Their goal is to transform reality into happiness by representing comedy around the globe and by expanding the phenomenon of workshops so that the whole world sings murga.
