Began his career at Príncipe Island with the band Africa Verde, in São Tomé he was part of several musical groups, including Tropic Som and Os Leonenses, where he worked as guitarist, composer and interpreter. [two]
He made his debut in discography in 1995 when he participated, as a composer and guest interpreter, in the album "Coração em África" by Camucuço & Cª, published by Discossete.
Accompanying musician for poet Olinda Beja. He released his first solo album "MUSA" produced by Equasom in 2002. The album tour included concerts in Tunisia, Portugal, Germany, France, Brazil, Spain, Switzerland, Italy and so on. In 2015 he released his second album "Lagaia" which featured several names in African music. With "Lagaia" Filipe Santo was the big winner of the second edition of the STP Music Awards (2016).
