Sunday the 1st of November we´ll be making a great party at COPENHAGEN JAZZHOUSE with nothing less than 3 local World Class amazing bands performing!
Starting with the Gambian award nominated Kora player
DAWDA JOBARTEH accompanied by a great band and the wonderful singers and dancers from Salif Keita, the sisters MARIA & MARIE-LINE MAROLANY!
Followed by the energetic KATAMANDO HIGHLIFE ORCHESTRA!
This band consists of 10 musicians who are all deeply
involved in the West African music scene in Scandinavia and since 1995 the orchestra has toured with classic highlife songs in new and exciting arrangements.
Then we will all be dancing to LOOSE CORP., the Danish sax player LARS HARTVIG´s soloproject, with horn themes and Rap by KUKU & AL AGAMI; it is music inspired by Jamaican and Cuban traditions, mixed with 60´s Big Band Jazz and Balkan in an electronic universe.
All followed by the hippest world music hits played by DJ Fire Love (Club Bam Bam)
