PRÓXIMO is the seventh album of FATO Group, from Curitiba (Paraná, south of Brazil).
The concept was born to explore a curious and restless practice of mixtures, combinations, partnerships, of the unusual, the approach of the different.
Produced by Pedro Luis (Rio de Janeiro), the CD featured the participation of the great artist LENINE (voice) in the track A FIO, as well as his son João Cavalcanti (voice) in BANDIDA and from Pedro Luís himself (voice/hollow/guitar), in VAGABUNDO II. Among other guest artists, Yuri Queiroga (programmings/synths/loops), from Recife (Brazilian Northeast), held a loop construction work from samplers of the southern clogs in the track RAIZ.
The PRÓXIMO CD achieved the 28th position among the 100 best releases of Brazilian music in 2014 by embrulhador.com, edited by the journalist Ed Félix.
