Tehran-born, Montreal-based santur player Amir Amiri arrived in Canada just over two decades ago and has been busy collaborating across the genres ever since. In his own ensemble he deepens his connection to his roots in Persian classical and folk music, interlacing diverse modern elements into traditional pieces and his own compositions.
