Atine is a singular meeting of five accomplished musicians from Iran : the singer Aïda Nosrat, the tar player Sogol Mirzaei, the percussionist Saghar Khadem, from Palestine : the qanun player Christine Zayed and from France : the viola da Gamba player Marie-Suzanne de Loye, drawing on diverse yet resonating influences from Iranian, Arabic, flamenco, jazz and baroque music to create sparkling new arrangements of traditional Iranian songs and original compositions imbued with the spirit of 19th century Persian poetry.
Their first album “Persiennes d’Iran” has been released in the fall of 2020 on the Accords Croisés label.
