For over a decade Gordie MacKeeman and his Rhythm Boys have been regularly picking up awards and building a solid reputation as an audience-igniting live band with their high-octane mix of intricate bluegrass, feel-good old-time melodies and reckless rockabilly. Leading the charge is elastic figure of fiddler, Gordie MacKeeman, nicknamed ‘Crazylegs’ for his loose-limbed dancing and ability to step-dance out high-speed rhythms without detracting from his virtuoso fiddling, more than ably assisted by long-time compadres, the Rhythm Boys, featuring the assured picking of guitarist Peter Cann with Thomas Webb on bass and banjo and Jason Burbine on drums.
