Robert Soko knows that you have to move to survive. Fleeing the war in Yugoslavia as a teenager, he used Western music and electrifying Balkan rhythms to mix cultures, becoming a successful DJ on the European club scene. The film takes place on Soko‘s native soil, where refugees from Syria and Afghanistan pass on their way to their dream destination, Berlin. The encounters break musical boundaries and reveal the changed identity of Europe.

Sergej Kreso studied journalism at the University of Political Sciences in Belgrade, where he was active in the New Primitives movement. During the Yugoslav war in 1993, Sergej fled to the Netherlands, where he continued his career in filmmaking, journalism and music. His work reflects his personal fascination with human roots, identity and adaptability.

Robert Soko will be present at WOMEX 21 and there will be a Q&A after the screening.
