Europa Jazz Network (EJN) is Europe’s biggest jazz network including 100 members from 30 countries. It consists of clubs, concert venues, organizers, festivals and media and is supported by the European Union (Creative Europe). The network has grown from an organisation sharing information and expertise to an activity based network working on projects to enrich, dynamize and professionalize the jazz sector and music organisations and promoters in general.

Yolda/ On The Road/ En Route is a project supported by EJN which involves a collaboration between Belgian and Turkish musicians.. They meet first in Istanbul and travel along the historical migration routes of the 60ties , meeting on their way other migrant musicians, and giving joint performances en route. The project will be presented during the Istanbul Ekspres festival 7-16 November 2014, Gent, Belgium (www.handelsbeurs.be/ www.decentrale.be)

We want to share this project with organizations , musicians, researchers and any WOMEX delegates interested in discussing and sharing the challenges and benefits of international musical collaborations- using this project as an example.
