Featuring:

Rogier Telderman (The Netherlands)
Friday 12:00

Born in Utrecht, Telderman grew up in a world of choral and classical music. He later developed a love for improvisation. For him, composition and improvisation should melt into one another: "music to me is like a living organism". In TRIPTYCH, Telderman explores the
crossover between the two. Mixing acoustic instruments such as trombone, bass clarinet, flute and piano with discreet electronics, TRIPTYCH creates cinematic music with ambient and minimal influences.

NYX (The Netherlands/Belgium)
Friday 12:30

NYX is a new chamber music duo, founded by sound artist Dyane Donck) and classical singer Els Mondelaers. Their skills are combined in performances where modern classical influences meet pop and electronica. In these performances, NYX uses a 'silent disco' headphone system to give the audience the most intimate and subtle yet immersive and overwhelming soundscapes and songs. So grab a pair of headphones and enter the world of NYX.

Kluster5 (The Netherlands)
Friday 13:00

Kluster5's unusual instrumentation (violin, saxophone, percussion, guitar and piano) creates opportunities to explore many different styles of music, from contemporary classical to jazz and pop. By playing works written especially for the ensemble by composers of its generation, Kluster5 brings an unheard modern sound. The ensemble evolves in different directions by cooperating with leading artists from various disciplines, dancing while playing, improvising, and composing its own music.

Lunatree (The Netherlands)
Friday 13:30

Lunatree is a new music ensemble with the potential of a rock band. A typical Lunatree gig combines for example minimal music, rock, and classical repertoire. The ensemble has recorded two CDs independently and one for Naxos with Ralph van Raat, and has worked with acts such as Eighth Blackbird, Neil Finn (Crowded House) and composers Terry Riley, Steve Reich, Michael Nyman.

Lunch with the Residents is supported by Dutch Performing Arts, a programme of the Performing Arts Fund NL.
