"From Pete Seeger to Peter Gabriel, those active in the sphere of musical traditions have been perceived as coming mostly from the political left. But governments of the Right often have just as passionate an interest in their nation's music, leaving performers and enthusiasts caught in an ideological crossfire. The panel of experienced musicians and producers will discuss, with particular emphasis on Central Europe and the former-Soviet sphere.
