From today until Sunday, 26 October, Santiago de Compostela will be home to the vibrant WOMEX community featuring live music, conference sessions, film screenings, business opportunities and cultural exchange.
WOMEX will celebrate its 20th edition in the Galician capital, bringing together music professionals from around the world for five days of music and networking.
Daytime activities will take place in the stunning architectural complex Cidade da Cultura, while the evening programme will be spread out at various venues throughout the old town.
Following the first day of the expo today, the delegates will be officially welcomed to Santiago at tonight's festive opening ceremony under the title of 'Compostela – The Roots, The Way', starting at 8pm at Auditorio de Galicia.
