VIMMA´s 7 skilled musicians delivers you energetic and powerful indie rock, spiced up with violins. The members, with their roots in environmental activism, write songs about what it feels like to witness the destruction of our planet and what should be done about it. VIMMA’s music blends bittersweet tenderness with fierce strength in a burning world. Or more simply put: it’s incredibly good music.
VIMMA’s second album, Tornadon silmässä (Eye of the Tornado), was released in October 2023 and earned the band a nomination for the 2024 Emma Awards in the Critics’ Choice category. Their third album Ei noi muut (Not those others) released in spring 2025 and that album sent them on a huge rise and has attracted attention especially in Finland, but has already been found on the world music charts. Vimma has a Womex showcase in 2025 in Tampere.
