Maegandang (魅衎黨) literally means a group of people who charm and entertain the audience. As the team's name suggests, Maegandang leaves a strong musical impression on the audience through their own overwhelming performances.
Maegandang fills the venue with Korea's amazing string sound using only the traditional Korean strings, the haegeum, gayageum, and geomungo. Three artists have a dream of renovating traditional music, and are realizing it through their works. They are ready to invite people on a journey into the mysterious and deep traditional music of Korea.
Upon debuting in 2022, Maegandang won major awards at the most important competitions in Korea's traditional music scene and successfully completed a showcase at Seoul Music Week, Korea's main music platform.
