Naissam Jalal assimilated and transcended the essence of European and Arab classical music, the art of jazz improvisation and the vitality of traditions from Africa, with a keen sense of synthesis and a hyper-sensitive touch. This fine trajectory has been marked by prestigious awards such as the Coup de coeur from the Académie Charles Cros or the Victoires du Jazz in France in 2019, and her trio Quest of the Invisible was on the Official selection at the 2019 edition of Jazzahead!
2021 is marked by the tenth anniversary of her quintet Rhythms of Resistance and the release of "Un Autre Monde" (Another World) that we are happy to present Live at the WOMEX this year. This (8th) album resulted in a new nomination at the Victoires du Jazz (2021) in France as best instrumentalist of the year.
