Sneo Mestizaje Projects

SNEOmerge Projects is world music for action, in a world in which there are so many things to be done.

SNEOmerge is the result of the fusion of roots music with electronic music, of the union of the work of musicians and artists from different countries well-known and new with a shared idea for the development of conceptual and multidisciplinary projects, together with a good measure of social content.

However, SNEO's projects are neither compilations nor isolated pieces of work: each one demands a high level of commitment and cooperation on work which entails continuity and corresponding feedback at every stage of its existence.

The basic aim of SNEOmerge is the management of original projects, not only a book-album but also tours and performances which would lead to continual income for organizations working in the field of human rights, childhood and fair trade.

Until now, projects have been developed with the participation of artists from Spain, Mexico, Syria, the Sudan, Morocco, Uruguay, Argentina, Japan, China ...

For more than a year we have been working to make this idea come true. It's just the beginning but we believe that actions speak louder than words, and the results of our work and the cooperation of the artists is better than the blah blah blah of we're going to ....

This book-album, included in the programme More than nothing is the presentation of some of the projects which are already up and running.

We must be clear about one thing: when children who live off what they can salvage from a rubbish dump on the outskirts of Buenos Aires are nothing for society, when twenty-first century slaves are nothing to their masters, when children from many parts of the world who have no access to education mean nothing to democracy and freedom ... whatever we do, no matter how small, it will always be more than nothing.
