David Brown is the Director: Policy and Research at Jamaica Creative, a unit of the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport.
As Jamaica's Delegate on the Intergovernmental Committee of the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions David is one of the Representatives from Group III (Latin America and the Caribbean) region. He is also the Jamaican Focal Point for the Transcultura Project and a Global Facilitator for UNESCO's 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
