Ramiro Musotto, who comes from Argentina and lives in Brazil, puts the berimbau to work in places where it might not have been before. He uses the instrument as percussion, melody, background loops. Ramiro starts with pumped-up versions of Afro-Brazilian grooves, but as it goes on it becomes a multiethnic music, with elements from Africa, South America, Asia and Europe.
