Specialized in Arab and Middle Eastern finger percussion, Simon Leleux begins with what remains his favorite instrument: the darbuka. But his interest in a good number of percussions (Persian tombak, Indian tablas, frame drums, riqq and cajon) is also at the origin of the cultural diversity of the music he performs. From baroque music to oriental music, from jazz to rock, he has collaborated with some of the great representatives of so-called “extra-western” music, such as Ghalia Benali, Kudsi Erguner, Ross Daly, Tcha Limberger, Khalid Izri, Nedyalko Nedyalkov, Emre Gültekin, Vardan Hovanissian.
