Fengaros Festival is a music festival that celebrates new, independent pop and rock music from Europe and beyond. The first of its kind on the mediterranean island of Cyprus, the 10th edition of the festival takes place 30 July - 1 August 2020 with stages across the quaint, idyllic village of Kato Drys in the Larnaca district.
Fengaros Festival highlights musicians that have pushed boundaries of popular music and provides the island’s audience nestled in the south-east mediterranean region with a window into international music scenes - in turn providing the musicians with a taste of traditional Cypriot heritage through setting the festival in the agrotouristic Kato Drys village. As an island that provides a geographical bridge between Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the festival innately features both western and non-western music, including contemporary pop and rock sounds, folk music, dance music DJs, psychedelic jams, hip hop, and many more.
Previous editions of Fengaros Festival have seen artists such as two-time Grammy award winner Fantastic Negrito (USA), the world-famous Grammy nominee Joss Stone (UK), indie legends Deerhoof (USA), avant-soul songstress Joan As Police Woman (USA), the young Alice Phoebe Lou (ZA), the ever-touring Xylouris White (GR/AUS), as well as top Greek and Cypriot acts like Marina Satti & Fonέs (GR), Pavlos Pavlides & B-Movies (GR), Monsieur Doumani (CY), Larry Gus (GR) and many, many more.
