First Nations (Indian), Folk, World music with a taste of
Country. This group is a multi award winning Band.
Laura Vinson is a professional singer/ songwriter who
is well known to Canadian and USA audiences alike, not
to mention many European audiences who have been
moved by her performance, lyrics and beautiful show
with powwow dancers in traditional outfits.

For the first time in history two completely different
cultures meet each other musically on stage. A
combination of the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted
Police) on Scottish bagpipes and drums with the
first nations group of Laura Vinson involving native
dancers and drummers up to the Celtic part of
Canada brought to the audience by Maria Dunn.

It's all captured in this visual and musical show with
the intention of touring in Europe May 2005.

The story tells the audience from the native point of
few about the early relationship between the RCMP
and the native population of Canada. The
government didn't want to follow the approach of
the US in the early 1800's which caused so many
deaths and so they formed the RCMP to start a
honest and respect full relationship with the native
population.

The men in red serges and tailcoat were respected
by both white settlers and native peoples were the
beginnings of the Canadian way, peace through
understanding and the establishment of law to be
followed by all people in western Canada.

The RCMP of 5 bagpipe players and 3 military
drummers play their own songs as well as take
guest parts in Laura Vinson’s music about the
native population. The group of Laura Vinson exists
of two male Native dancers and chanters and two
female dansers performing traditional dances in
their fancy costumes during the story telling and
folk songs of Laura Vinson & Free Spirit. It’s all
captured in a story.
