Ciot means in Romanian the roots of a tree that remain into the ground after that tree was cut. It also means the remaining part of something that was cut. In terms of stylistic language this project wants to start from the Romanian folkloric roots and develop into a harsh yet sensitive electronic expression.
Ciot are Vlaicu Golcea – programming and bass & Marta Hristea – vocals. As guest musicians Lucian Stan – turntables, Raul Kusak – keyboards and Cristi Soleanu – soprano sax – one of the finest Romanian jazz musicians.
