Josema Pelayo has composed original music for series and documentaries: for National Geographic and BBC, as well as for various series and tv movies for Canal Sur tv, Canal + and TVE.
In 1998 he founded his own recording studio in Jerez de la Frontera and since then he has combined his work composing music for TV with the production and recording of flamenco groups, singers and artists from Jerez. He has produced the 4 albums of the group Los Delinqüentes, and has participated in the realization of projects by artists such as Joaquin Sabina, Juan Diego Mateos, Luis el Zambo, Tomasito, Moraíto Chico, Antonio Rey, Diego Carrasco, Remedios Amaya, Javier Ruibal, Paco Cepero, Lole Montoya, Manuel Moneo, Pitingo, Diego del Morao, Sorderita, La Macanita, Capullo de Jerez, El Torta, Agujetas, Fernando de la Morena, Periquin Niño Jero, Juan Villar, Ezequiel Benitez, Jose Carpio Mijita, Momo de Jerez , El Cigala, José Mercé, Antonio Agujetas...
At the end of 2013, he independently developed the production and management office for artists at Estudio LABODEGA, producing and editing works by Momo de Jerez, José Carpio Mijita, Manolo Simón, Antonio Agujetas, CAIJERÉ, Familia Mijita, Ezequiel Benitez, Tomás Rubichi, Juan Diego Mateos, La Pompa Jonda, La Tarambana, Luis Moneo, Niño de la Fragua...
In September 2018, he organized the singing workshop for migrant women at the Festival Intramuros de Jerez and the subsequent concert by Tania Zolty and the Alaia group. In recent years he has worked for the Serie Gong Música label, producing albums by La Tarambana, Andrés Olaegui, Así Canta Jerez en Navidad (traditional Christmas flamenco songs) and especially ANCLE MI ALMA by José de los Camarones.
