What is Required On-site For WOMEX 21 In Porto

Porto

Organising festivals and live music concerts in 2021 is a huge challenge. An enormous amount of work is going into planning this year's edition. We, along with relentless support from AMG Music, our local partners in Porto, are giving our best in bringing the global music community together once again in person, all within the boundaries of health and safety regulations, of course.

Portugal has decided to loosen restrictions on the number of people allowed in restaurants and cultural venues two weeks earlier than planned, as the vaccination campaign moved faster than anticipated. In Portugal, 78% of the population has already completed their vaccination against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and 85% have received at least one dose of the vaccine, taking Portugal to rank no.2 for the highest vaccination rate in the EU.

Health and safety is a top priority this year. To ensure a safe experience for everyone attending, official vaccine certificates or EU Digital COVID Certificate with a final dose at least 14 days prior or a negative COVID-19 test will be required to participate onsite at WOMEX 21 in Porto. If official vaccine certificates cannot be provided, a daily negative Antigen test (also known as Rapid test) or a valid negative PCR test will have to be presented to access any of the WOMEX 21 venues. There will be a test station available on-site.

In order to maintain the safety of everyone involved and attending WOMEX 21 in Porto, the WOMEX team has made the use of masks mandatory indoors.

We are constantly monitoring the situation in Portugal and have created a list of FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) on COVID-19 regulations and travel information that you can find below. Please check this page regularly as we will continue to update it with the latest information on public health measures that you can expect in October. The WOMEX 21 team will ensure that all appropriate measures are adhered to as set by the Portuguese health authorities in October.

Regarding travel and entry to Portugal, we suggest you check the official travel guidelines presented by your country of residence and flight carriers in addition.
