ROSALíA & RAÜL both have names starting with a capital R. And a common friend who made the connection. Since that moment, they haven't stopped thinking of projects they could share, some of them impossible, and this one that starts here. The duo survives on the flamenco tightrope, where tradition meets experimentation and muster the courage of those who are unaware to make some misdeeds out of the purists limitations. This is flamenco but also the opposite. It is experimentation and the contrary too. It is unplugged noisy folklore and emotional hubbub with their feet on the ground.

ROSALÍA is very young but she has been performing for over a decade already. She has one of the most promising and personal voices in the flamenco scene nowadays. A connoisseur of the tradition with the attitude of those who like to experiment and the intelligence of a veteran, her voice is breathtaking in the quiet moments and also when she takes the beats out for a walk... She has already worked with Fura dels Baus, Chicuelo or Rocío Márquez, among others and here she is working on her fist album with RAÜL.

RAÜL has become quite the reference in the production and guitar scene. Experimenter and personal in his approach, his name appears in some of the most important albums of the last years. Rocío Márquez, Sílvia Pérez Cruz or Kiko Veneno, have worked with him recently. And he has also produced the last album of Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth). As a guitarrist, his love for flamenco has driven him to incorporate the usual ways of this style in his own personal playing, as if Marc Ribot, Ian MacKaye and Pepe Habichuela had started a band.

Flamenco and experimentation hand in hand.
