She is undoubtedly one of the most influential music journalists in her country. With more than 20 years of experience in radio and written media, Luisa has specialized in Colombian music, travelling throughout her country, visiting festivals, interviewing artists and maintaining a constant contact with the musical move.
Currently she conduces and directs the “El Atardecer” program at Radio Nacional de Colombia (National Radio of Colombia), the most important and largest public radio station in Colombia; where through music she has written a wonderful chapter about Colombian culture. Besides, she makes the program “Suena Colombia”, with a weekly dedication to national artist’s discography.
Within her ample experience is important to highlight her collaboration with the newspaper El Espectador, the magazine Rolling Stone, the Music Magazine, Cartel Urbano and Music Machine Magazine. In all these publications she writes about the Colombian musical move.
She has participated as jury and musical curator in CIRCULART, in the Flowers Fair (Medellin), The Caribbean Insular Market (Minec San Andres island), the Gilberto Alzate Avendaño Foundation, USM (Medellin), National and International Scholarships of IDARTES (Bogotá), jury for the national and international scholarships of the Ministry of Culture; jury in the Journalistic Circulation scholarships of the Cali secretary, jury for the Pacific Music Market, jury for the Radio Journalism awards of the Quindío University, among others.
Is one of the key actors in the musical journalism that with her talent, ear, sensitivity and knowledge, has significantly contributed to the growth of the music sector in Colombia.
She is a music lover and collector of all types of music; one of her main hobbies is to watch live music. She plays guacharaca and drums.
