Concerted Artists was founded in 2022, built on forty years’ experience of its proprietor, Simon Glinn, as a director of concert halls, venues and opera houses, and his experience as an international tour producer and arts consultant.

In the first year of operating Concerted Artists produced a number of significant tours, including the live show of multi-award winning composer and sitar player Jasdeep Singh Degun’s beautiful debut album for Real World, “Anomaly,” taking a 9-piece band plus full crew to concert halls throughout England and to Rotterdam’s De Doelen. More recently Jasdeep toured with the Scottish Ensemble; both of these projects, and Jasdeep’s Indian classical recitals, are available for future engagements.

The same period saw Syrian qanun player and composer Maya Youssef travel to Italy, Spain, Ireland and Northern Ireland as well as extensive festival, concert and broadcast performances in England and Wales, with her Songlines Best of 2022 album, “Finding Home.” Maya’s 2024 schedule includes performances in Sweden and USA.

Summer 23 saw US/Irish supergroup the olllam making a triumphant return to England for the first time since 2014, following a series of major festival and sold-out venue dates in Ireland with a week that took in WOMAD, Wickham, Valley and Underneath the Stars festivals, two midweek sell out shows in London, and other regional club dates. They return in January 24 for further key UK and Ireland dates.

The extraordinary virtuosity of English harmonica and melodeon-player Will Pound in conjunction with ace guitarist Jenn Butterworth captured in their debut album, “Volume One,” has wowed audiences in clubs and festivals throughout Britain and in Belgium, with a recent appearance at English Folk Expo, where Concerted Artists also presented Liverpool-based Anglo-Norwegian alt-folk duo Nunnery Norheim, whose outstanding lyricism is captured on their new album “I Saw The City.”

We brought Rokia Kone to WOMAD UK, Samuel Yirga to Leeds, London and Manchester, and have seen Ruby Colley present her incredible soundscapes at venues including Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall.

Concerted Artists represents two uilleann pipers of great pedigree: John McSherry (Lunasa, At First Light, Coolfin, the olllam) is now touring with Brendan Quinn and Francis McIlduff, with an album, “Feile Live” to be released in November; whilst Leonard Barry, between dates with Daori Farrell and Allan McDonald, has recorded an exquisite new album, “Littoral,” produced by Michael McGoldrick, to be launched at Celtic Connections 2024. Also from Ireland, we have recently welcomed Síomha to the roster, and Padraig Rynne’s projects Notify, who have a new album in 2024, and Breen Rynne Murray.
