Pilar Boyero is a Spanish singer, presenter and teacher specializing in copla. She has been professionally dedicated to music since 30 years ago.
She has released eight albums: "El cante mío", "Pilar Boyero canta al Maestro Solano", "Una vida entera", "Coplas de puñalá", "Cáceres-Manhattan", "Por siempre Carlos Cano", "Cuba por coplas", with the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba in Havana, and "Notas de viajes" which is the second volume of the tribute album to the artist Carlos Cano.
Currently, she is finishing a tribute album to the composer Juan Solano recorded with the Orchestra of Extremadura, which collaborate Carmen París, Clara Montes and Enrique Heredia "Negri".
She writes, presents and directs the program "Soy lo prohibido" on Canal Extremadura Radio dedicated to copla, since seventeen years ago.
She teaches "History of copla" at the University of Extremadura and gives conferences.
Pilar Boyero has been awarded with 'Superolé Award', 'Grada Award: Leisure', 'Cáceres with a woman's name Award', 'Cubadisco Award: Best international album', among others.
