Buenrostro

BuenRostro is an independent Mexican music and cultural company based in San Pedro Atocpan, Milpa Alta, Mexico City. Led by artists and cultural managers Abigail Mota and Alfredo Galván, it develops, produces and represents two distinctive projects: BuenRostro, a Mexican Post-Folk act available as a full band or international touring duo, and Par de Dos, an interactive family-music trio.

The company combines artist development, live production, international touring, music education and community-rooted cultural work. Its projects connect Mexican and Latin American traditions with contemporary creation, theatricality, sustainability and direct audience participation.

BuenRostro has performed at Vive Latino, Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris and Mexico City’s Zócalo, as well as FIMU Belfort in France and leading Canadian festivals including Calgary Folk Music Festival, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Hillside Festival, Vancouver Folk Music Festival, ROOTSandBLUES, Canmore Folk Music Festival and Folks on the Rocks. In 2026, the project expands its international activity to South Korea, Spain and WOMEX.

Par de Dos brings live music and playful music-theatre to children and families, with appearances at major cultural venues in Mexico and family programming at Canadian festivals.
