Sea of Wood Records

Sea of Wood was set up in 2016 with a view to providing a platform for the under-represented artists and music of Yunnan. With a scope ranging from artist management to recording, publishing and festival production, the label has been instrumental in raising the profile of Yunnan music both domestically and internationally, having released a string of well received albums, culminating in The Rough Guide to the Music of Yunnan which was released in 2022 to critical acclaim.

Currently developing artist residencies to pair international artists with Chinese artists in collaboration with Chinese DSPs, Sea of Wood Records benefit from excellent relations with Tencent and Netease.

Also undertaking an ambitious international strategy to promote priority artists in Europe, and in North America.
