Born in the mountains in the heart of Sicily, Gera Bertolone is a complete artist : singer/songwriter, arranger and producer. She is also a virtuoso musician (clarinet).
She grew up like a nonconformist child - mainly resistant to authority and established rules - who passionately frequented wilderness and solitude. As a child, she made the decision alone to learned how to play clarinet, and when she was a teenager, she played in a variety of bands.
Her first album as singer was released in 2015 titled LA SICILIENNE. Its modern arrangements and the quality of its interpretations have made its trademark. It has won both critical praise and stage success.

LA SICILIENNE is the result of the collaboration with the jazz violinist Rares Morarescu.
As a singer, composer and producer, she is currently preparing the release of a new pop-rock album (in 2023). With her intoxicating voice and her volcanic temperament, singer and clarinetist Gera Bertolone unveils for the very first time an eminently personal universe where strong emotions intersect, where both the delicacy and the telluric energies of Sicily are echoed. This release will be accompanied by a concert tour in France, Italy and abroad.
She began her clarinet studies at the age of 6 in the village where she grew up. She develops quickly a very personal musicality and an incredible technique in many repertoires. She perfects herself with different teachers and performs regularly in many concert halls such as the Auditorium Rai, the Teatro Antico de Segesta, the Teatro Montevergini...
During her studies in Musicology and Ethnomusicology at the universities of Palermo and Paris, she deepened her research on the repertoire of Sicilian song. In parallel, she began a work of transcriptions and adaptations for clarinet of classical Sicilian instrumental repertoires.
She has been living in Paris since 2009 and regularly collaborates with many musicians and groups as a singer and solo clarinetist.
