For over twenty years, the 3D Family agency has been working for the development of jazz artists and world music from around the world. Structure on a human scale, 3D Family organizes about four hundred concerts a year for groups such as Amadou & Mariam, Bonga, Stanley Clarke, Fatoumata Diawara, Les Amazones d’Afrique, Saul Williams, Theo Croker, Lakecia Bejamin, Taraf de Caliu.
3D Family strives to foster artistic encounters and to transcend borders, whether linguistic, geographical, or cultural. They have made recordings in Dakar, Bamako, and Havana, created music with a South African choir, facilitated encounters between black musicians from Colombia and African musicians, and launched a project that brings together legendary jazz and afrobeat musicians with popular figures of hip hop, rock or pop (Tony Allen and QuestLove, David Murray and Macy Gray, Hank Jones and Cheick Tidiane Seck, and Les Amazones and Jean-Louis Aubert).

3D Family also develops projects at the intersection of cultural, social, and humanitarian issues. From 2014 to 2015, the agency was responsible for running the campaign Africa Stop Ebola, which spread essential information to help change behaviors and attitudes towards the disease, starting with the recording of the song Africa Stop Ebola (performed by Tiken Jah Fakoly, Salif Keita, Amadou & Mariam, and Oumou Sangaré). This campaign resulted in the development of a singing contest in Guinea with the aim of informing local communities about the Ebola virus. The singing contest Africa Stop Ebola was nominated for an award by Fighting Ebola: a Grand Challenge for Development, a grant competition calling for innovative ideas to stop the spread of the disease in West Africa, organized by the US Agency for International Deve- lopment (USAID) in partnership with the White House’s Of ce of Science and Technology Policy, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the US Department of Defense.
