LTE was started in Cape Town, South Africa with main interests in Cape Music. The company is now run from Hamburg, Germany from where music publishing (Songwrights Publishers) and distribution activities (LTE Distribution), and involvement in live shows and recording, are managed.

The firm manages tours for some of their main acts. Present priorities are THE DIZU PLAATJIES IBUYAMBO ENSEMBLE who showcased at WOMEX in the past, and THE CAPE JAZZ BAND.

The main record label, Mountain Records, one of 6 labels started by the firm, has remained a world music label but also takes on productions in other genre and is distributed in Europe for physical product and world-wide digitally.

We offer management for artists signed to LTE for recording. We also take on project based marketing with artists not signed to the in house labels.

LTE has an historic involvement in music distribution of LPs and CDs having run a music distribution in Germany since 1996. For some time we have offered a service to indie labels with a World Music or Jazz repertoire base. With the demise of physical product we have prioritized our involvement on digital distribution services with a no strings attached distribution model tailored for labels and artists with some music business experience.
