banglanatak dot com is a social enterprise that works with a mission to foster inclusive and sustainable development using culture-based approaches. We enjoy global partnership with UN Tourism and also accredited with Int'l Advisory status to ICH Committee at UNESCO Paris. We have a 60-member full time team with hands-on experience working on empowering traditional artists to safeguard their cultural heritage and get them directly linked to the market. We have worked with 55000 artists in West Bengal, Rajasthan, Goa, Bihar which includes 8000 musicians. We have a vertical called MusiCal which is led by senior practicing musicians. Our focus is folk music and we promote and participate in musical cultural exchanges. In the last 15 years, we have hosted over 1000 international musicians in India. We organize our own world peace music festival called Sur Jahan (previously known as Sufi Sutra) every year. We have partnerships with various European music organizations, musicians, music critics, journalists, music magazines, radio stations and festivals. We have even facilitated participation of 400 folk artists at different international fairs and festivals. Our musical compilations include 2000 tracks, 30 films and 10 books. We also have a strong digital presence. We have hosted over 200 Facebook Lives on folk music and also reached out to audiences through internet radio www.bongonet.net.
